Gowri Savoor is an Indian rangoli artist. Rangolis are motifs with different colors which are traditionally used for decorating houses during festivals. She is an award winning rangoli artist. Her group and solo rangoli exhibitions have been displayed internationally. Her latest ,We speak the same language' rangoli designs have been showcased in the Christine Price Gallery , Catleton, VT in March 2020. She regularly conducts rangoli designs workshops and teaches art in educational residencies. She is open for commission works and is quite experienced in Drawing, sculpture making, painting and rangoli designs. Rangoli designs are first created on a solid color background on a floor or canvas. Colored sand or limestone powder is used to fill in the beautiful rangoli designs. Most rangoli designs are mandalas with motifs or patterns and splashed across with eye popping colors.
